Psychological Evaluations for Religious Life Candidates
We specialize in psychological assessments and evaluations of candidates with vocations to the priesthood or religious life. Dr. Alexander Quiros is uniquely equipped to partner with Vocation Directors in the admission and formation of seminarians. His evaluations are insightful and thorough, going beyond general mental health to also include the assessment of leadership potential, community living readiness, sexual maturity, intelligence, and vocational history. Our assessment battery meets the standards set by the Pontifical North American College in Rome. Assessment services are available in both English and Spanish to support diverse candidate pools.
We have been honored to serve the Archdioceses and dioceses across the Southwest since 2019. We welcome the opportunity to support your diocese in ensuring the health and resilience of your future priests.
What to Expect: Our comprehensive evaluation reports are typically completed within one to two weeks from the date of testing. The psychological assessment service fee includes direct consultation with the vocation director/team to discuss results and treatment recommendations. Dr. Quiros also provides feedback sessions for the applicants themselves, offering a therapeutic and collaborative stance and transforming the evaluation from a hurdle into a moment of growth.
Please contact us to discuss your specific psychological testing or assessment needs. For client privacy, the psychologists at Progressing Minds do not participate in insurance billing or any managed care networks. For all inquiries and information on our private-pay assessment rates, please reach out to Dr. Alexander Quiros using our Contact Form.
Our Approach
Your assessment experience involves a collaborative and therapeutic process. As licensed psychologists, we have undergone rigorous training requirements to properly assess and treat a variety of behavioral and mental health issues. The main objective of our comprehensive psychological assessment is to provide clarity to help you understand yourself in deeper ways, as well as direction to help you make meaningful progress toward your goals. In addition to discovering new solutions to current or long-standing problems, psychological assessments are often very helpful in clarifying a diagnosis and generating treatment recommendations for referring professionals, such as your doctor, psychologist, or psychiatrist. Our hope is for you to experience a truly collaborative process during your assessment- one in which we are working together to help you gain insight into your psychological and emotional functioning, assess your strengths, and identify any barriers keeping you from reaching your goals.
